      Suddenly, at St. Mary's Hospital, in Kitchener, Hardy died on Tuesday, October 21. 2003, days before his 73rd birthday. Beloved husband of Ella (Thiessen): dear father of Ann and her husband Jeff Taylor of Waterloo, Bruce Klassen of Kitchener and Gord Klassen and his wife Laurene of St. Catharines. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Hayden and Brock Taylor and Brady, AJ and Jillian Klassen. Brother of Rudy Klassen and his wife Erika, of New Hamburg and brother-in-law of Nettie and her husband Vic Willms of Kitchener, Susan and her husband Peter Klassen of St. Catharines and John Thiessen of Castle Rock, Col. He was predeceased by-his sister-in-law, Lena Thiessen, two brothers and one sister, John, Peter and Alice, all in their youth and his parents, Elizabeth (Friesen) and John Klassen. Hardy and Ella were charter members of Glencairn Mennonite Brethren Church. He owned and operated Hardy Klassen Motors Ltd., on Victoria Street in Kitchener, for 48 years. He was a dedicated volunteer with Camp Crossroads where he served on the Board, was a founding member and Past President of Birchcrest Cottage Association and a former member of the local automotive apprenticeship board. Friends and relatives are invited to share their memories of Hardy with his family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight (Thursday) and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. A service to celebrate the life and faith of Hardy will be held at the Community Christian Reformed Church, 1275 Bleams Road, Kitchener (at Fischer-Hallman), on Saturday, October 25, 2003, at 9: 30 a.m., with Pastor Bill Stubbs officiating. Interment to follow in Memory Gardens, Breslau. Following the committal service at the cemetery, friends and relatives are invited to Glencairn Mennonite Brethren Church, 725 Erinbrook Drive (at Block Line Rd.), Kitchener for refreshments and a time to visit with the family.
