- Martin.-Kate, widow [should read daughter and name is not Kate but Mary Ann] of the late Mr. And Mrs. Martin S. Bauman, was born near Waterloo, Ont., May 1, 1901; died July 25, 1947; aged 46 y. 2 m. 25 d. On Feb. 7, 1922 she was united in marriage to David B. Martin, who survives. Also surviving are 2 children (Lorne and Inez, both at home), her stepmother, 4 brothers (Jeremiah, Henry, Owen, and Harvey), and 4 sisters (Ellen-Mrs. Abraham Martin, Susanna-Mrs. Jesse Shantz, Almeda-Mrs. Paul Martin, and Alice-Mrs. Ivan Martin). She was a member of the Floradale, Ont., Mennonite Church. Funeral services were held July 28, at the church, in charge of Ruben Dettwiler and Oliver D. Snider. Burial was made in the North Woolwich Cemetery*.
