PRESTON - James A. Durham, of 735 King St. died Thursday at Hamilton Hospital. He was 66. Born in England, April 20, 1904, he moved to New Waterford, N.S., in 1907. He came to Preston, about four years ago working as a night desk clerk at the Kress Hotel. He was an Anglican. Surviving are three sons, William of Preston, Arthur of New Waterford, N.S., and Clarence of British Columbia; four daughters, Mrs. Edward (Carrie) McDonald Mrs. Gertrude Grant, Mrs. Thomas (Martha) Stapleton, all of Preston, and Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Burns of Westmount, N.S.; one sister, Mrs. William (Evelyn) Dupe of Preston; 2.5 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body will be at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today until Monday when removal will be made to St. John's Anglican Church for service at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Preston Park Lawn cemetery.
