Formerly of Rose Street, Cambridge, on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital. June Lang, beloved wife of the late Edward Walters (1995). Dear mother of Marianne Englert and her husband Paul of Toronto; survived by sister and brother-in-law Vi and James Carney of Brampton, brother and sister-in-law Adam and Doreen Walters of Nevada, U.S.A. and cousin, Gladys Fach of Cambridge. Predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Catherine Lang; one brother, Fred and two sisters, Mabel Krieg and Irene Bowman. Mrs. Walters was born in Preston and had been a lifelong resident of the area. She was a member of St. Clement's RC Church and the CWL, was employed at the Canadian Consolate in Washington DC during the Second World War and a secretary with Canadian Buffalo Sled. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge today (Thursday) from 2-4 p.m. the funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Clement's RC Church, 745 Duke St., Cambridge on Friday, Sept. 22, 2000 at 10 a.m. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
