Of Golden Years Nursing Home, on Tuesday, July 29, 1997, Gordon Baker, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis Baker and loving father of Johnny and Tom of Calgary, Bonnie Mclndless and her husband Harold of Cambridge, lvah Hughes and her husband Bill of Calgary, Deidre Taylor and her husband Robert of Caroline, Alberta and his step-son, Keith Harris of Thunder Bay and step-daughter, Eleanor Harris of Brantford. Dear grandfather of 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Bill of Tobermory, Ontario. Mr. Baker was a veteran of the Second World War and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Galt Branch 121 for more than 50 years, the Navy Club, the Senior's Club, the Moose Lodge and St. Gile's Presbyterian Church. A memorial service and Royal Canadian Legion Galt Branch 121 service will be held on Wednesday, August 6. 1997, at Corbett Funeral Home Chapel, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, at 1 p.m. Rev. Gord Griggs officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
