Of 134 Fountain St. N., Cambridge, on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 1990, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of the late Blanche Mayne. Dear father of Marion, Marlene, Mary Jean (Mrs. Brendan Kummer), all of Cambridge. Predeceased by one son, Nick. Also surviving is one granddaughter, Erin; one brother, Steve of London, Ont.; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Muldoon of Toronto and Mary (Mrs. Bill Tucker) of Bridgeport. Mr. McDermott was a resident of Cambridge for 42 years from Arthur, Ont.; retired from Heavy Duty Products of Cambridge. A member of St. Clement's RC Church and the Knights of Columbus. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, today (Thursday), from 7-9 p.m. Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Clement's Church, Saturday at to a.m. Interment in Parklawn cemetery.
