  Zacharia Garbutt PRESTON - Zacharia Garbutt, well-known Preston resident for the past 26 years, died at his home, 1031 King St., early today, at the age of 90 years. He had been ailing for six years, and seriously ill for two months. Born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England, Mr. Garbutt came to Canada, directly to Preston, in 1927 and resided here since that time. A machinist by trade he was employed at Babcock, Wilcox and Goldie McCullough Ltd., Galt, until his retirement in 1945. He was a member of the Amalgamated Engineer's Union. He attended St. John's Anglican Church. Surviving are his wife, Harriett Higgins, four daughters, Hilda Ivy [rest of obituary not photocopied] Kitchener-Waterloo Record 23 Jan 1953
