  John Westine PRESTON, John A. Westine. 72, of Willowdale, formerly of Preston, died Friday, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parry Sound, after a short illness. Mr. Westine was holidaying at his summer cottage at Parry Sound. Born in Sweden, he came to live in Preston in 1950. He resided in Timmins, before living here. He was a member of Preston Baptist Church and the Baraca class. He was predeceased by his wife, the former, Jenny Ballard, in 1957 and by one daughter, Mrs. Garret Schut in 1959. Surviving are three sons, Andrew of Vancouver; John of Hamilton; George of Whitby; four daughters, Mrs. Reme (Emily) Praud of Calgary, Mrs. Clifford (Florence) Hornby of Toronto, Mrs. Kenneth (Mabel) Singleton of Edmonton and Miss Brenda Westine, Toronto; 25 grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted, Tuesday, at 2 p.m., at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Preston Cemetery. Rev. W. H. McWhinnie of Preston Baptist Church, will officiate.
