    • Jacob Bregman

      Preston - Jacob Bregman, a native of Holland, came to Preston 42 years ago, died yesterday, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener. He was 79 and a builder by trade. He worked for 15 years at Clare Brothers as a mechanical superintendant and at Buffalo Sled for 8 years as superintendant. During the war he was an aircraft inspector in Brantford. He was an honorary president of the Preston Horticultural Society and a member of the Canadian Order of Foresters. Surviving are his wife, the former Grietje Lakeman, three sons, Pieter of Copper Cliff, Jacob. Jr., of Preston and Martin (Dean) of Waterloo; two sisters, Mrs. Pieter Secreve and Mrs Jan Keesen of Holland; two brothers, William and Cornelius in Holland and five grandchildren. The body is at the Stager-Pass Ltd. Funeral Home, where the funeral will be held Wednesday at 2: 30 p.m, Rev. H. G. Cleghorn will officiate. Interment will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Preston. Tuesday evening the 100F will hold a service at the funeral home at 7;30 p.m.
