- Mrs. Grietje Bregman
PRESTON-Mrs. Grietje Bregman, Concession Rd., died today at St Mary's Hospital, Kitchener. She was 70. Mrs. Bregman was born in Holland and came to Preston in 1910. Her husband died this May. She was interested in horticulture and had donated hundreds of gladioli bulbs to the Preston parks board. The board constructed a Bregman memorial gladioli plot at Rivererside Park, this year. Surviving are three sons, Peter of Copper Cliff, Jacob Jr. of Preston and M. Dean of Waterloo, one sister, Reintjke of Holland and five grandchildren. The body is at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home, where the funeral will be held Monday at 2: 30 p.m., with interment in Park Lawn Cemetery.
