  Howard Grummett PRESTON, Jan. 8., Howard Russell Grummett, owner of the City Cab, Preston, died at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, Saturday at the age of 45 years. He had been confined to hospital for five weeks. Born in Sheffield Mr. Grummett attended school in Galt and with the exception of several years in the United States, resided in Galt, until making his home in Preston, 15 years ago. He was employed with the Royal Bank at Galt for some time. Originally employed with Metropolitan Life Insuranee Co., for a number of years, on making his home in Preston, he had operated the City Cab here for 10 years. He took a keen interest in many community events and was interested in and aided in the sponsorship of a number of sports. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Adaline Williams of Preston and his mother, Mrs. Robert Grummett of Galt. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Funeral Home, where the funeral will he held, tomorrow, at 2 o'clock. Interment will he in Park Lawn Cemetery. Kitchener-Waterloo Record 8 Jan 1951 pg 5
