Mrs. William Smith

PRESTON\emdash Mrs. Rose Smith, 6 Victoria Rd. E., Crystal Beach, died yesterday at Port Colborne Hospital. Mrs. Smith was born in England and came to Preston in 1917. She had resided in Crystal Beach since 1964. She was a member of St. John's Anglican Church here and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Preston Legion. She was predeceased by her first husband Robert McCue in 1951 and by her second husband, William Smith. Surviving are one son, Ernest McCue of Fontanna, Calif. and one daughter, Mrs. Elva Dolson of Crystal Beach; one sister Mrs. Alice McConnell of Preston; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. The body will be at the Clendening Funeral Home, Ridgeway, Wednesday afternoon and evening and at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, Preston, Thursday afternoon and evening. The funeral service will be conducted at the Barthel-Stager Funeral home Friday at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Preston Park Lawn cemetery.
