    • George Murray

      PRESTON - George Mansel Murray, 78, well known Preston resident, died at his residence, 330 Wellington St. North, Preston, Saturday. He had been seriously ill for three weeks. Mr. Murray was born in Toronto and resided for a time in Lindsay and Carleton Place before coming to Preston. He was employed with the Canada Last for several years and for many years was associated with Clare Brothers as a moulder until his retirement six years ago. Prior to coming to Preston he was employed with the Finlay stove concern in Carleton Place. Surviving are his wife, Emily Kingston; four daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Jane) Erb of Preston, Mrs. Herman (Mona) Wilson of Galt, Mrs. John (Viola) McEachin of Hamilton, and Olive Murray at home; four sons, James Andrew of Hamilton; George William of Preston, John Kingston of Galt and Herbert Hammond of Hespeler; two sisters, Miss Olive Murray and Miss Louise Murray, both of St. Catharines, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted in the chapel of the Stager-Pass Funeral Home today by Rev. J.C. Williamson. Interment will be in Park Lawn Cemetery
