  Mrs. Sarah Newitt PRESTON, Funeral service for Mrs. Sarah Newitt of 1328 Duke St., was conducted today, at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home. Mrs. Newitt died Saturday, at South Waterloo Hospital. She was 94. The former Sarah Beswick, she was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. She had resided in Preston for 50 years and was a member of King Street Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, in 1916. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Alice) Nicholls and Mrs. Bert (Emma) Wade both of Preston; three grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Rev. Thomas Oshiro officiated. Interment was in Preston Park Lawn cemetery. Kitchener-Waterloo Record 2 Mar 1970 pg 27
