  BARTHOLOMEW, Doris E. Formerly of 180 Melrose St.. Cambridge, on Wednesday, Dec 18, 1991, at her residence, 824 King St. E., Cambridge, after a lengthy illness, Doris Scherer, in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Harold W. Bartholomew; dear mother of Harold William and his wife Shirley of Guelph. John Clayton and his wife Jean of Elmira, Shirley and her husband Robert Nanson of Scarborough and Delores and her husband Wayne Thaler of Kitchener. Lovingly remembered by 14 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Roy Scherer and Franklin Scherer, both of Cambridge. Predeceased by her parents; one brother, Carl and one sister, Marjorie MacDonald. Mrs. Bartholomew was horn in Cambridge (Preston) and was a life-long resident. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Cambridge. She and Harold had just celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in October. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, today (Thursday), 7.9 p.m. and Friday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will he conducted at the funeral home Saturday, Dec. 21, 1991, at 1: 30 p.m. Interment Parklawn cemetery, Cambridge.
