      PRESTON—George W. Gordon, 52, of 339 Hedley St., Preston, died today at his home after a short illness. Mr. Gordon was born in Kincardine and came to Preston as a boy. He resided in Preston for several years. He was employed at Savage Shoes Ltd., Preston and was an Anglican. Surviving are his wife, the former Kate Palmer; his father George Gordon; one daughter, Mrs. John (Marilyn) Smith and one sister, Mrs. Norman Kennedy, all of Preston. The body is at the Stager-Barthel Funeral Home, where service will be conducted Saturday, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery. Rev. A. T. Appleyard of St. John's Anglican Church will officiate.
