    • Mrs. J. H. Sherk

      At the age of 88 years, Mrs. J. H. Sherk died yesterday morning at her late residence in Centreville, following a lengthy illness. She was born Lydia Troxel, June 22, 1877, in Kitchener, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Troxel. On March 24, 1903, in Kitchener, she was married to J. Hubert Sherk, who survives her. Mrs. Sherk was a member of Bethany Mennonite Church. Also surviving are four sons and three daughters: Rev. J. Harold Sherk of Calcutta, India; Eldon T. Sherk, New Dundee; W. Floyd Sherk, New Dundee; Paul W. Sherk, Stouftville; Mrs. Eric Bolton (Olive) of Parkway; Mrs. Victor Rosenberger (Grace), New Dundee, and Mrs. Herbert Frey (Isabel) of Aylmer. Sixteen grandchildren also survive. One son and one daughter died in infancy. Remains are resting at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home until one o'clock Wednesday, when removal will be made to Bethany Mennonite Church, Rev. P. G.. Lehman will conduet the service, starting at 2: 30 p.m., assisted by Rev. C. N. Good, former pastor of Mrs. Sherk. Interment will be made in First Mennonite Cemetery. Flowers are gretefully declined by the family.
