  SCHUT, Garret Of 502 Nelson St., Cambridge, on Monday, Nov. 5, 1984, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 61st year. Beloved husband of Joy Smith; dear father of Danny of Toronto, Kevin, Wendy, Marlene (Mrs. Frank Sharpe) and Suzanne (Mrs. Howard Spurgeon), all of Cambridge and Kathy (Mrs. Paul Elmont) of British Columbia. Predeceased by his first wife, Elsie Westine. Lovingly remembered by eight grandchildren and two sisters, Mary (Mrs. Douglas Walker) of Cambridge and Minnie (Mrs. Alec Cooper) of Kincardine. Mr. Schut was born in Cambridge (P) and lived here all his life; he is retired from Funcraft Vehicles (1981) Ltd.; a former director of the Preston Chamber of Commerce; past president of the Preston Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 126; he had served overseas with the Royal Canadian Engineers, in the Second World War. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, where the family will receive friends this evening from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home, Wednesday, Nov. 7, 1984 at 2 p.m. Interment in Parklawn cemetery.
