Of 856 Lowther St. S., Cambridge, Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1985, at McMaster Medical Hospital, Hamilton, Ont., in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Annette Thompson; dear father of Ray of Vancouver, B.C., Robert of St. Albert, Alta., Phillip of Cambridge, Margot (Mrs. Michael Kummer) of Cambridge. Also survived by seven grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Simard and Mrs. Fernande Morin, both of Cambridge. Mr. Dechene was born in Quebec City and had been a resident of Cambridge for 23 years; a member of the Preston Hespeler Rotary Club; a veteran of the Second World War, serving with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Friends will be received at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Friday 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Clement's Church, Saturday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m. Interment in Parklawn cemetery.
