Suddenly, at his residence, on Friday, Feb. 19, 1988, Norman Bauer, of 58 Edmund Rd., Kitchener, aged 81 years. Mr. Bauer was an avid golfer and enjoyed five and 10 pin bowling in many senior leagues. He was a 33 year employee of B.F. Goodrich Canada Inc., before retirement and was also a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Kitchener. Beloved husband of Isabel (Soehner) and loving father of Evelyn (Mrs. Jack Harrison) of Ottawa, Florence (Mrs. Royden Kavelman), Joyce (Mrs. Bill Strub), Bonnie (Mrs. Murray Jackson), Sherry (Mrs. Richard Jewer), Larry and his wife Mary, all of Kitchener and Arlene Rau of Elmira; dear brother of Lorraine Soehner, Henrietta Hehn, Pearl Straus, Dorothy Schiemann, Hank and Clinton, all of Kitchener, Ruby Draves of Waterloo and Garfield of Guelph. Also sadly missed by 21 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; his son, Norman Bauer and two brothers, Vernon and Clifford. Friends may call at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King St. W., Kitchener, today (Saturday) from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the chapel on Monday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Roger Winger officiating. Interment Mount Hope cemetery, Waterloo.
