  GERBER, Christian E. Suddenly, on Saturday, Jan. 7, 1989, at the Milverton Nursing Home, Chris E. Gerber, of RR 1, Wellesley. He was born in Wellesley township, 70 years ago, a son of the late Daniel Gerber and the late Catherine Erb. He farmed in Wilmot township, retiring in 1973. A member of the Maple View Mennonite Church. Dear father of Harold and his wife Maureen Gerber of RR 1, Wellesley, Doris and her husband Stanley Erb of Wellesley; beloved brother of David and his wife Velma Gerber of New Hamburg, Annie (Mrs. David Jantzil of RR 1, Wellesley, Lena (Mrs. Dan Brenneman) of RR 1, Wellesley, Emma (Mrs. Ezra Brenneman) of Wellesley, Katie (Mrs. Ezra Steckley) of Wellesley; brother-in-law to Edna (Mrs. Sam Gerber) of Wellesley and Laura (Mrs. Dan Gerber) of Nith-View, New Hamburg. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Melanie, Philip and Timothy Gerber, Pamela, Kevin, Jeff, Rosalynn and Christopher Erb. Predeceased by his wife, the former Katie Erb, June 12, 1988 and also by four brothers, Amos, John, Samuel and Daniel and one sister, Mary (Mrs. John W. A. Jantzt). Visitation at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, 40 Henry St., Wellesley, where the family will receive friends this evening (Monday), from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. At noon Wednesday, Jan. 11, removal will be made to the Maple View Mennonite Church, for the service at 2: 30 p.m., Rev. Victor Dorsch, Rev. Lloyd Reneay and Rev. Gerald Schwartzentruber officiating. Interment will follow in Maple View Mennonite cemetery. Kitchener-Waterloo Record 9 Jan 1989 pg B11
