  Alfred Gillies GALT—The funeral of Alfred Gillies, 80, of 127 Hespeler Rd., who died Saturday at Coutts Pavilion, Kicherer, was conducted today at Little's Funeral Home, here. Mr. Gillies was a stonemason, retiring in 1960. He was born June 11, 1882, at Ayredrie. Scotland, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Gillies, who were florists in Hespeler, at one time. Mr. Gillies, a Presbyterian, had lived in Galt for 45 years. Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth McIlroy: a son, Alfred, Kitchener: three daughters. Mrs. D. (Jessie) Danard of Vancouver, Mrs. H. (Edith) MacLean of Bathurst, N.B. and Mrs. Earl ( Helene) Schoenau, Preston: a sister, Mrs. Charles Henderson, Oakville: three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
