- Irvin M. West
PRESTON - A Preston resident for seven years, Irvin M. West, 34, died at the home of his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hunter, RR 2, Annan, near Owen Sound, Saturday. He had been ill for the past two and a half years. Born in Sullivan Township, Grey County, Mr. West lived there until 1941 when he moved to Brantford and two years later made his home in Preston, residing here until the time of his illness. While in Preston, he was employed with the Grand River Railway as a trainman and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen. Surviving is his wife, Olive Selena Hunter; his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Carling West, Sullivan Township; two brothers, Chester, St. Marys and Melvin, Thamesford district. The body is resting at the Stager-Pass Ltd., funeral home where the funeral will be held tomorrow at 2: 30 p.m. Interment will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Preston.
