  DEATH CALLS HENRY WITZEL Well Known Manufacturer Passes Away in His 60th Year Death this morning at 3.30 o'clock removed a highly respected citizen in the person of Henry K. Witzel. 30 Water street south, after an illness covering about 2 years, the last six weeks of which were spent in bed. Death, though not unexpected, came as a shock to his many friends and relatives. His age was 59 years, 5 months and 19 days. Mr. Witzel was one of Berlin's most highly esteemed business men, and in his death a well known manufacturer is removed. He had been a resident of Berlin for the past twelve years. He was born in Germany, coming to Canada when a boy of 16 years. He went directly to Tavistock, where he resided for 30 years, being connected with the Kaulbfleisch Furniture Company factory, until he became foreman. On coming to Berlin. he was first interested in the Walker Bin and Store Fixture Company, but five years ago. became a member of the firm of the Onward Manufacturing Company, retaining this position until the time of his death. He was a faithful member of St. Peter's Lutheran church. About a year ago, in the hope of regaining his strength by a visit to his boyhood home, he crossed the ocean to Germany. He is survived by three sons, one daughter and one step daughter. In Tavistock he was married to Catherine Elizabeth Schaefer, who predeceased him 18 years ago, leaving Theodore A. of the Onward Manufacturing Company. Willia. A., and George, and Florence, all of Berlin. He was later married to Mrs. Meinke, who, with her daughter Mrs. Harry Wuest, of Berlin also survive. The funeral will take place on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. to St. Peter's Lutheran church for service, and Mount Hope Cemetery for interment.
