  FORTE, Joseph Sr. Merchant of Preston for 25 years, retiring in 1974, passed away at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, Friday, Feb. 14, 1975, Joseph Forte Sr., of 210 King St., Preston, in his 72nd year, beloved husband of Rose Calcutta; dear father of Peter of Waterloo, Paul of Australia, Joseph Jr. of Preston, David of Conestogo, John of Kitchener, Gregory and Steven of Preston and one daughter Catherine (Mrs. Richard Barrie) of Victoria, B.C. Mr. Forte was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy and had been a resident of Brantford and Waterloo, prior to his residence in Preston; member of St. Clement's Church. Survived by one brother and two sisters, in Italy; also 16 grandchildren. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, corner Argyle and Queenston Road, Preston, until Monday morning, then to St. Clement's Church for funeral mass, at 10 a.m. Interment in Parklawn cemetery.
