- Mrs. J. George Anderson
PRESTON - Mrs. J. George Anderson, well known Preston resident for the past 13 years, died suddently at her home, Breslau Road, Preston, at an early hour this morning. The late Mrs. Anderson has been ailing for the past five years but her sudden passing came as a shock to friends in the Preston and Kitchener districts. Born in Melrose, Scotland, she resided in Fergus, Kitchener and for the past 13 years in Preston. A member of St. Paul's United Church, Preston, she was also a member of the Missionary Society of the church. The late Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Preston IODE chapter and Order of the Eastern Star. Surviving is her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Allan L. Smith (Jean) of Ancaster; Mrs. W. R. Thomson (Margaret) of Kitchener, and Mrs. A. J. Pratt (Helen) of Kitchener; a son, Bruce W. Anderson of Galt; a sister, Janet in Scotland. Eight grandchildren also survive. A son, Gordon, predeceased her, having been killed over-seas in 1941. The late Mrs. Anderson is at the Stager Pass, Ltd. Funeral Home from where the funeral will be held Thursday, at 2: 30. Interment will be in Park Lawn cemetery, Preston.
