      Of 1243 Whitley St., Preston, at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, on Monday, March 5, 1973, Clarence (Major) Hilker, beloved husband of Kathleen Schmidt; dear father of Gerald of Hespeler, June (Mrs. Robert Smith) of Brantford, Grace (Mrs. William Stockall), Joan (Mrs. Grant Strome), Barbara (Mrs. Gilbert Gennoe), all of Preston; in his 65th year; also surviving are 19 grandchildren and two brothers, Edward and Robert of Hespeler. Mr. Hilker was born in Guelph, lived in Hespeler and Preston for a number of years. He was the owner of the Hilker Brush and Spray Painting, he was associated with the Preston Junior Hockey Club for a number of years; Mr. Hilker was a member of St. Clement's Church. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queen St. Preston Cambridge, until Thursday morning, then to St. Clement's Church for funeral mass, at 10 a.m. Interment in Parklawn cemetery.
