Of 432 Blue Herron Ridge, Cambridge, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Wednesday, May 6, 1981, in his 61st year, William Mather, beloved husband of Helen Krasno. Dear father of Thomas of London, Ont., Pamela (Mrs. Jack Hodges) and Nancy (Mrs. Brad Jones), both of Cambridge; dear brother of Ada (Mrs. Louis Beauprea) of Waterloo and Mrs, Florence Dixon of Cambridge. Also survived by six grandchildren. Mr. Mather, was born in Preston and was a lifelong resident of the area. Employed by the Stager Realty Company. A member of St. Clement's RC Church, past president of the Holy Name Society. Past president of the Preston Kinsmen, past president of the Preston Minor Softball, past president of the Cambridge Real Estate Board, past member of the Preston Separate School Board. He served with the RCAF Band, for five years during the Second World War. He was a member of the Cambridge Concert Band and leader of the Over-the-Hill Gang Band. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, until Friday morning, May 8, then to St. Clement's RC Church for funeral mass, at 10 a.m. Interment in Park Lawn cemetery.
