  O'CONNELL, Mary Of 1250 Duke St., Cambridge, on December 1, 1951, at the Hanover District Hospital, in her 79th year. Mary Garvey, beloved wife of the late Thomas O'Connell and dear mother of Phyllis (Mrs. John Stroeder), Ruby (Mrs. Leonard Walter) and Marlene (Mrs. Michael Brenner), all of Kitchener, dear sister of Michael Garvey of Kitchener, Ambrose Garvey of Hanover and Mrs. Margaret McKeown of Elora. Also survived by 20 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Thomas, two brothers, John and Sylvester and one sister, Mrs. Ada Mclntee and two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mrs. O'Connell was born in Ayton and came to Cambridge 29 years ago from Kenilworth; she was a member of St. Clement's RC Church, the Catholic Womens League, and the Womens Institute of Preston, as well as being a past president of the Preston Senior Citizens. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, where the family will receive friends, Wednesday and Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9.
