- Edward Vincent Power
PRESTON, Edward Vincent Power, 502 Nelson St., died Wednesday, at South Waterloo Hospital, Galt. He was 69. Mr. Power was born at Marystown, Newfoundland. He came here from New Waterford, N.S., in 1956. He was a carpenter by trade. While residing here he was employed with Graham Petroleums. He was a member of St. Clement's RC Church. He served in the Canadian Army in the Second World War. Surviving are his wife, the former Caroline Hart; one son, Richard of Preston; two daughters, Mrs. James (Caroline) Graham of Preston and Mrs. Leon (Faith Ann) Young of Galt; three brothers, William and Richard of New Waterford, N.S. and Celestine of Vancouver; four sisters, Christina and Annunciata both in California, Mrs. James (Mary) Gillies of New Waterford N.S. and Sarah Ann in Newfoundland and 11 grandchildren. He was predeceased by one son, Bernard. The body is at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, until Saturday, when removal will be made to the church for requiem mass, at 10 a.m. Interment be in Preston Park Lawn cemetery.
