  DOROSHENKO (Collins), Alice Peacefully passed away at the Grand River Hospital Kitchener on Friday, August 30, 2019 with family in her thoughts and by her side. Devoted and loving Mom to Douglas Collins (Mary Ellen), James ""Archie"" Collins (Jo-Ann), Linda Gibson, Bonnie Cardinell, David Collins (Amanda), Donald Collins (Leanne), Reginald Collins (Jodie), and Kenneth Collins (Renata). Sadly missed and forever remembered by her 17 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Survived by her sister Ruby Wills from St. John's Newfoundland and by her sister-in-law Hilda Ivany, and her brother-in-law Richard Collins (Marijana). Predeceased by her first husband Reginald Collins (1975), and by her second husband Stanley Doroshenko (1998). Also predeceased by her siblings Wiss Ivany, Clar Ivany, Herbert Ivany, and Lorie Hoogervorst. Predeceased by two great-grandchildren Sammie and Jenna Cassidy. Family and friends will be received at the Memory Gardens Funeral Home 2723 Victoria St. N. 519 904 0400 on Friday, September 6, 2019 from 10 - 11 a.m. A celebration of Alice's life will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, September 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. Interment of ashes to follow at the Parklawn Cemetery in Cambridge. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions to the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
