  SKELLY, William H. Passed away at his residence, 392 Guelph St. S., Preston, Sept. 27, 1973, William H. Skelly, beloved husband of Ruth Teeter, in his 74th year. Mr. Skelly was born in Galt and had resided in Preston, for the past 43 years. He was a retired inspector for the Liquor Licence Board of Ontario. A member of St. Clement's Church and was the former mayor of Preston, in 1948 and 1949. The funeral mass was celebrated in St. Clement's Church, this morning, Saturday, Sept. 29, 1973, interment, Parklawn cemetery. Kitchener-Waterloo Record 30 Sep 1973 pg 29 ____________________ Preston Mayor In '48-'49 Dies William H. Skelly, a former Preston Mayor, died at his Cambridge (Preston) home Thursday night. He was 74. Born in Galt, Mr. Skelly lived in Preston for the past 43 years. He served as the town's mayor in 1948 and 1949. Mr. Skelly was a retired inspector of the Liquor Licence Board of Ontario. He was a member of St. Clements' Roman Catholic Church in Cambridge (Preston). He is survived by his wife, the former Ruth Teeter. Mr. Skelly was predeceased by one brother, Frank of Galt, in 1963. Funeral mass was held this morning at St. Clements' Church. Interment was in Park Lawn Cemetery. Rosary was recited at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home in Cambridge (Preston) Friday evening.
