- MANDEL, Florence "Toots"
Of Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge, on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2003, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in her 87th year. Florence Hartford, loving mother of Gordon Johnston of Cambridge and Cynthia Bevan and her husband Rick of Bolton. Sadly missed by seven grandchildren, Joanne, Deborah, Terry, Tracy, Steven Bevan. Julie (Ofir) Gil, Ken (Michelle) Bevan; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mandel, is predeceased by her first husband, William Johnston; her second husband, Albert Mandel; her son, William and her twin brothers, Perry and Leslie Hartford. She was born in Preston and had been a lifelong resident of the area, a member of Knox Preston Presbyterian Church, the church choir and Fairview choir. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, today (Wednesday) from 7-9 p.m. The complete funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Bill Bynum, at the funeral home, on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003, at 1: 30 p.m. A private interment in Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
