Peacefully, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Saturday, October 29, 2005, at the age of 84. Born in Galt on October 25, 1921, Al leaves to mourn his wife, Joan (MacDougall); his five children, Angeline (Gary) Whittington, Carol (Jack) Hutton of Durham, Albert Jr., Teresa Jones (Norm), Catherine Falsetto all of Cambridge; one daughter-in-law, Alma Falsetto of Sault Ste. Marie; three step-children, Kim Higgins (John), Teri Morgan (Tim), and Kelly Neely (Bill Collison); nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren. Al is survived by his three sisters, Anne Sebastian, Lena O'Donnell (John) of Hamilton, Eva Moschetta (Alfred) of New York and one brother, Adam of New Jersey. Predeceased by his first wife, Ellen Johnson (1991); his son, John (1994); step-daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Ray Robins (2004) and seven brothers and sisters. Al was a member of St. Clements R.C. Church and also attended Knox Presbyterian Church, with his wife. Al was a Gunner in the artillery division during his time as a World War Two Army Veteran and a 60 year member of the Preston Legion Branch 126 and a life time member of Preston Knights of Columbus. AI was an avid horse shoe player and bowler. He owned and operated Al's Fish and Chips in Preston for 40 years. Al's family, will receive their friends and relatives at the Barthel Funeral Home (566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge) on Tuesday, November 1, 2005, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St Clements R.C. Church (745 Duke Street, Cambridge) on Wednesday, November 2, 2005, at 10 a.m., interment to follow at the Park Lawn Cemetery. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Tuesday, at 8: 30 p.m.
