- FURLONG, John Albert 'Jack'
Passed away at Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at the age of 87. Survived by wife Eleanor Irene (nee Lisso) for 63 happy years. Son David Fraser wife Jane (McFarlane), children Nicole (Daniel Noldeko) and their children Jaxson and Cohen. Sons; Paul, Cameron and Colin (Andrew Ross deceased). Son, John Allan wife Sharon (Patton) of Grand Bend. Daughter, Karen Louise (Brian Egoff). Daughter, Cynthia Sharp. Predeceased by parents, Fraser and Nettie (Marshall), sister, Luella (Ross Farncombe), brothers, Francis and Rae, Marshall (Rita Furlong of Ayr), Robert and his wife Elaine. Also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and Cathy (Lisso), Joe Hickey, Chantel and Patrick. Jack worked from 1949 -2000 for E. M. Coleman Ltd. Milk Transport for Ernie, Ernie Jr. and Mike Coleman as a mechanic and Jack of all trades. He also drove part time for Ayr Coach Lines School bus and served St. Vincent de Paul at St. Patrick's at the start. Jack served with the Royal Canadian Army R.C.E. M.E. and was a member of the RCL Galt Branch 121. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Sunday, November 18, 2012, from 6-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Sunday, at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated St. Patrick's R.C. Church, 53 Wellington St., Cambridge, on Monday, November 19, 2012, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
