      Of 12 Tuscany Cres., Cambridge, on Thursday, Dec. 8, 1988, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Margaret Kavanagh; dear father of Bill of Newfoundland, Jim, Tom, Kevin, Richard, Mike, Patrick, John, Margaret (Mrs. Joe Kavanagh), Patricia (Mrs. Don Stone), Jean O'Brien, Marie Mrs. Ben Durnford and Cathy O'Brien, all of Cambridge; lovingly remembered by 38 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and four sisters, Loretta O'Brien and Bridget O'Brien, both of Cambridge, Mrs. Josephine Brown of Newfoundland and Mrs. Bernadine Connors of Milton. Predeceased by three daughters, Ellen, Mary and Rita. Mr. O'Brien was born on Bell Island, Nfld. and came to Cambridge in 1985. He had been employed for 40 years at Wabana Mines in Bell Island and was a retiree of Eastern Steel Products of Cambridge. He was also a member of St. Clement's RC Church, Cambridge and the Preston-Hespeler Council of the Knights of Columbus. The family will receive friends at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, Thursday (today) 2-4 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Amoral mass will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 10, 1988, at St. Clement's RC Church, Cambridge, at 10 a.m. Interment Parklawn cemetery, Cambridge.
