  BALD, Joan Ruby With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Bald on Monday, January 18, 2016. Joan was a lover of all animals, including the ones she found around her home, like squirrels and raccoons. At her home in Florida, she would feed the exotic birds that flew into her yard every single day at 4: 00 p.m. She even had names for them! Joan also enjoyed square dancing and living the cottage life. She was a very social person and loved to be among her family and friends, especially her life-long friend Margaret Irving. Joan will be sadly missed by her husband Kenneth, daughter Susan (Bob), grandsons Andrew (Michelle) and Matthew, and her great-grandchildren, Liam and Sadie. She was predeceased by her parents Jean and John Newland and her sister Grace. In remembrance of Joan's life, a funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church (132 Argyle St. N. Cambridge, Ontario) on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2: 00 p.m., with a visitation at the church one hour prior. A private family interment will follow the service.
