    • UNTCH, Inge

With sadness and heavy hearts, we announce that Inge Untch, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, October 9, 2016, in her 84th year. Ever the adventurous explorer, Inge decided to come to Canada for employment, in the early 1960's, all by herself. It was only a short time later that she met the love of her life, Michael and they were married in 1963. Inge was a strong and active woman who was always on the go. She lived a healthy lifestyle, often spending her mornings swimming at John Dolson Pool. It was a brief period of terminal cancer that sadly ended Inge's life, but she fought with inspiring strength and courage to the end. The family would like to offer special thanks to the oncology nurses at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, for the care and compassion they showed to Inge, Luther Village on the Park Sunshine Center, where all the staff were amazing and the Grand River Hospital nurses, who were so caring and helpful during Inge's last days of life. Inge was predeceased by her loving husband Michael Untch (2015) and her brother-in-law Harald Deike (2015). She will be sadly missed by her daughters Karen (Ron) Timmerman and Monica (Dave) Zuber, and her grandchildren Krystal and Kellan Timmerman and Darrien and David Zuber. Inge is also survived by her sister Brigitte Deike and her in-laws in Germany Hilde and Uli Hofer. Friends and relatives will be received at BARTHEL FUNERAL HOME (566 Queenston Rd. Cambridge, ON 519-653-3251) on Tuesday, October 18, from 2: 00 p.m. to 4: 00 p.m. and 7: 00 p.m. to 9: 00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church (810 King St. E, Cambridge, ON) on Wednesday, October 19, at 11: 00 a.m. Interment to follow at Parklawn Cemetery.
