    • Mrs. George A. Wells

      PRESTON — Mrs. George A. Wells, 732 Duke St., died Monday, in South Waterloo Hospital, Galt. The former Eleanor Nichol, she was born in London, Ont. She came to Preston, from Orangeville, in 1927 and taught at Central Public School. She lived in Galt for a number of years, but lived the last 27 years in Preston. She was a member of St. John's Anglican Church and the Women's Association, was past president of the Victorian Order of Nurses and member of the ODE and Girl Guide association. She was the first captain of the local girl guide group. Surviving are her husband: her mother, Mrs. Marion Nichol of London; two sons, John and Bill, both at home; one daughter, Marianne at home; two sisters, Mrs. Pat (Jean) Henry and Mrs. W. J. (Kay) Osborne, both of London. The body is at Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends, Wednesday afternoon and evening. Funeral service will be conducted at St. John's Church at 2 p.m., Thursday. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery.
