- DOOGAN, Thomas (Tommy)
Peacefully, after a long illness, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 1996, in his 88th year. Thomas Doogan, beloved husband of Eileen Creighton; loved father of Lorna of Cambridge, Raymond and his wife Donna of Brantford and Kenneth and his wife Arvilla of Drumbo; grandfather of Tammy of Woodstock, Tracey of Kitchener and Kenneth of Guelph; great-grandfather of Jessie, Shane, Christopher and Kailey. Also survived by one brother, George of England and sisters-in-law, Mrs. Lily Creighton, Mra. Mildred Creighton, both of Cambridge, Margaret Doogan and Violet Doogan and brother-in-law, Walter and his wife Kathleen Creighton, all of Northern Ireland, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Eliza Jane Doogan; three brothers, Joseph, William and Robert and three sisters, Margaret, May and Lily. Mr. Doogan was born in Maguires Bridge, Northern Ireland and emigrated to Cambridge (Preston) in 1958, where he worked as a mechanic until retirement. He served with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers during the Second World War and was a member of the Hespeler Legion Branch No. 272. A funeral service was held today, Thursday, Feb. 22, 1996, at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge.
