  SHORT, Alice Muriel Passed away on Friday, March 19, 2010, with her family by her side at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Frank Short (1979). Dear mother to Carol "Bonnie" Spurgeon. Dear grandmother to Richard (Michele), and Denise Parliament (Kevin). Great-grandmother to Alicia Rose Parliament and Molly Anne Spurgeon. Survived by nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Predeceased by son-in-law, Harold Spurgeon (2007), sister Jane Vann (Harold) and brothers Harry (Fay), and Jim Mills (Florence). Alice was a past Noble Grand of Queen Rebekah Lodge and now of Crystal Rebekah Lodge and was a long-time member of King Street Baptist Church. Alice's family will receive friends at Barthel Funeral Home, (566 Queenston Road) on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, between 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Rebekah service will be held at 7: 00 p.m. Funeral service to be held at King Street Baptist Church (361 King Street East) on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at 11: 00 a.m. The Rev.
