Of 907 Vine Street, Preston, at the Alexandria Marine Hospital, Goderich, Saturday, March 18, 1972, Joseph Godwin, beloved husband of Elizabeth Ramsey and dear father of James Neil (with the American Air Force & Edon, in England), Kenneth of Preston and Keith of Preston; also survived by one brother James of Preston and one granddaughter; predeceased by one brother, Wilfred of Galt. Mr. Godwin was born in Lancaster, England and came to Preston, in 1922. He was a supervisor with the Savage Shoe Company of Preston and member of King Street Baptist Church. Mr. Godwin is resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, Preston, until Wednesday noon, then to King Street Baptist Church for funeral and committal service 2 p.m. Interment, Park Lawn Cemetery.
