  BOWES, IRA DAVID Well-known district resident, Mr. Bowes of the Lake Road (R. R. #1, Hespeler), suddenly on Wednesday afternoon, September 30, 1959, at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, in his 55th year. He was born in Stauton, SK but had made his home in this locality for many years. He was assistant forester with the Department of Lands and Forests, R. R. #1 Hespeler, for ten years. Mr. Bowes was a member of Hespeler United Church. Surviving are his wife, Clara (nee Clemens) Letson and three step-children, John Alvin Letson of Hespeler; William Gerald Letson, at home; and Ina (Mrs. James Priest) of Preston; one grandchild; two brothers, Wesley Bowes of Northern Ontario; Harrison Bowes of R. R. #1, Hespeler; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Faust of Guelph; Miss Pearl Bowes of Galt; Gertrude (Mrs. Reg Hassum ) of Galt; and Margaret (Mrs. Morris MacMillan) of Goderich. He was the son of the late David William and Margaret Bowes of Galt. Service at the Stager Funeral Home, Galt St. in Hespeler on Saturday at 2. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery in Preston.
