  IKONEN, Gladys B. (Snooks) Born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, on June 15, 1936, to the late Hannah and Robert Snooks. Moved to Cambridge (Galt) in 1951. Passed away on August 11, 2000, at the London Health Science Centre, after a long battle with ovarian cancer. Best friend and devoted wife of Lennie for 33 years. Loving only sister of Gordon Snooks and Robert (Al) Snooks, both of Cambridge. Loving aunt of Sharon Snooks of Halifax and Gordon Jr. Snooks of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. At Gladys' request, there will be no visitation, cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to the Ikonen home on September 9, 2000, from 3-6 p.m., to visit with the family and remember Gladys. Gladys asked that any expressions of sympathy be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the London Health Science Centre, Ovarian Cancer Research Department, 800 Commissioners Road East, London.
