- FOWLIE, John Albert
Of Cambridge, passed away, peacefully, on Monday, March 23, 1992, in his 72nd year, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. He was born in Mount Forest, Ont. and lived in Strathroy until entering the University of Toronto, where he graduated as a Metallurgical Engineer. He served with the New Westminster Regiment, during the war, seeing duty in Europe. He was employed by Atlis Steels of Welland after the war for 21 years. In 1967 he entered into business partnership at Galt British Forge, where he stayed for 12 years. Upon retiring he spent the winters in Port Charlotte, Fla. He is survived by his wife, Ann; two sons, Peter and his wife Janice of Burlington, Bob and his wife Aldyth of Brantford and one daughter, Barbara and her husband Gary Adamson of Glen Williams and one sister, Dorrie Evans of Kitchener. He will be sadly missed by his four grandchildren, Paul, Scott, Kara and Kaitlin. A private family service was held at the Barthel Funeral Home, Cambridge, with cremation taking place. Burial at the Preston Cemetery.
