Notes |
- LICHTY, Florence Elaine (Trickett)
1929 - 2010, You touched our lives in many ways, You held us tight on stormy days. You've gone to heaven free of pain, Without you our lives won't be the same. Another angel to keep us straight, A guardian to keep us safe. A ring of love witnessed the passing of a treasured sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Wednesday, April 14th. Florence was born at the start of the great depression in Hagersville, Ontario. Florence married the late Ervin Lichty in Cambridge in 1949. They shared eight children together on Eby Street in Cambridge. Florence was very kind hearted, always thinking of others before herself. Her love towards others was evident by her endless and wonderful gift of compassion and generosity. She will be forever missed and treasured in the hearts of all who knew her. Florence has gone to be reunited with her mother Gladys Irene Trickett and father Stewart Arnold Trickett both from Cochrane, Ontario, her sisters Rose, Joyce, Betty, Dorthy and her brothers Gordon and Jack, her sons Georgee, and David. She will be dearly missed by her brother Stewart (Junior) Trickett and wife Judy. Her children Richard and daughter-in-law Violet, Donnie, Linda and son-in-law John, Gary and daughter-in-law Theresa, Bobby and Kenny. Her grandchildren Jake and Leslie, Angel, Tammy and Jared, Scott and Valerie, Todd and Aundria, Derek and Theresa. Her great-grandchildren Jordan, Camdin, Mirah, Tyson, Aaron, Faith, Ava, Nickolaus and Abigail. Florence taught us all how to love. In honour of her memory, celebrate the life of your loved ones. Do a good deed, give a loved one a flower, or sit and share a memory. Family and friends were invited to Parklawn Cemetery, 753 Fountain Street, North, Cambridge, for the funeral service on Tuesday, April 20th at 11: 00 a.m. A memorial service followed at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge.
