      Peacefully. In the loving company of his family, on Sunday, Nov. 27, 1994, at St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Virginia (nee Kirkorian); loving father of Susan and her husband Edward Collins of Toronto. Loving grandfather of Andrew and Tara Collins. Also survived by his sister. Joan Wiley of Waterloo and his brother, William and his wife Shirley of Cambridge. Fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents, James and Betsy Garraway; his brother, James (husband of Ellen Ann (Dean) Garraway) and one brother in infancy. Mr. Garraway was born in Whitehaven, Cumberland, England on November 12, 1921 and immigrated to Canada in 1929. He served his country as a member of the Highland Light Infantry of Canada in the Second World War, for five years and was awarded a Certificate of Merit by Field Marshall Montgomery. Following the war, Mr. Garraway, had a distinguished 30 year career, with the Ontario Ministry of Correctional Services, which included successive postings at the Ontario Training School for Boys, Galt, the Brookside School, Cobourg and the Glendale School, Simcoe. Mr. Garraway spent 12 years at Ministry headquarters in Toronto, as Administrator of Training Schools, Executive Director of Adult Program and as Assistant Deputy Minister, Operations. He retired in June, 1976. Friends will be received at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 1994, at St. John's Anglican Church, 567 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, at 2 p.m., with Canon David Bowyer officiating. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery.
