Of Cambridge, on Tuesday, August 27, 2002, at Golden Years Nursing Home, Cambridge. Beloved husband of Bernice (Pat Reinhart) for 53 years. Dear father of Cheryl and her husband Dave, Judy and her husband Paul: loving grandfather of Jennifer Johnson and Tiffany and Brad Evans: great-grandfather of Nicholas and Madeline. Survived by three brothers, Elmer of Kitchener, Alvin and his wife Jean and Robert and his wife Janet of Formosa: three sisters, Bertha Beninger of Walkerton, Dorothy Petteplace and her husband Clayton of Formosa and Nettie Krzewski of Kitchener: one brother-in-law, Stan Turnbull of Formosa and one sister-in-law, Shirley Meyers of Cambridge. Predeceased by his first born, an infant son, Brian: parents, Gregory and Helen Meyer: two brothers, Victor and Howard and two sisters, Johanna Bezruki and Marlene Turnbull. Mr. Meyer, was born in Formosa and had been a resident of Cambridge, for the past 60 years. He was employed with Otto Homuth and Sons/Scythes and Co., for 36 years. He finished his career with 10 years at Genesco, before retiring. He was a member of Beaverdale Golf Course. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge, today (Thursday) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, August 30, 2002, at I I a.m. Interment in Park Lawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
