      Of 100 Beck St., Apt. 20, Cambridge (P), on Tuesday, July 31, 1979, peacefully at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital. Francis Joseph Donahue, beloved husband of the late Bessie Aleith Dempsey: dearly loved father of Sheila (Mrs. D. Cox) of Cambridge. Elda (Mrs. E. Wallace) of Calgary, Gail (Mrs. E. Welsh) of Guelph; dear grandfather of Aleith, Lynne and Jeremy Cox, Alisa and Gregor Wallace, Scott, Blair, Lisa and Steven Welsh, uncle of Dr. Chester Brown of Kingston. Also survived by two sisters, Margaret (Mrs. R. Bunn) of Ottawa and Sheila (Mrs. M. MacArthur) of Toronto. Mr. Donahue was born in Pembroke, a graduate of the IMO class of the Royal Military College, Kingston. Major Donahue served overseas from 1942 to 1946. Mr. Donahue, was a member of the Cochrane Branch 59, Canadian Legion. Upon his return from overseas, Mr. Donahue served as Sherrif and Treasurer of the District of Cochrane, from June, 1946 until his retirement in June, 1973. Friends will be received by the family, Friday morning, from 10 a.m., until noon at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge (P). Funeral service will be conducted at St. Andrew's United Church, Friday, at 2 p.m. Interment in Parklawn cemetery.
