  BENDUS, Lena Pauline Passed away peacefully, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, in her 86th year, with her family and friends present. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Bendus (1996). Dear mother of Gregory Bendus and Nancy Bendus, both of Cambridge. Sadly missed by one brother, Michael Busczkowski and two sisters, Sophie and Stella, all of Guelph. Predeceased by her parents and one sister, Ann. Sadly missed by nieces, nephews and many close friends. Mrs. Bendus was born in Guelph and had been a longtime resident of the area. She was a member of St. Clement's RC Church and worked at Savage Shoes, Greb Shoes and Canadian General Tower until her retirement. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Clement's RC Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge on Friday, May 8, 2009, at 10 a.m. Interment in Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
